Training Guidance

Using the Audio Responsibly

The Shuttle Run is a progressive aerobic assessment. Candidates should develop their fitness gradually rather than repeatedly performing maximal tests without sufficient recovery.

  • Warm up properly before beginning.
  • Use a flat, clear, non-slip running surface.
  • Measure the full 20 metre distance accurately.
  • Wear appropriate indoor athletic footwear.
  • Allow adequate recovery between demanding sessions.
  • Stop if you experience pain, dizziness, or unusual symptoms.
